... Today we missed the Georgetown market!
We can count on 1 hand the number of times we have missed a market in over 20 years of selling produce at the farmers' markets. The reasons were sickness, funerals and weather. While sickness & funerals are acceptable reasons, weather rarely is.
But weather was the excuse today.
Our forecast for home included a wind warning with gusts up to 90kph, rain, cold ...
Georgetown's forecast while less dire, but called for strong winds, rain & cold temperatures.
Throw in our weariness, slow fall sales, and a big 60th wedding anniversary party for my parents tonight and it didn't take much discussion to make the decision - no market!
Last Saturday - Thanksgiving Saturday - the weather was perfect. Sunny, cool & comfortable, we didn't even put up our canopy but enjoyed all the sunshine. Sales were great too!
So this morning I awoke to the sound of ... no rain and only moderate winds blowing.
Wonder what it's like in Georgetown?
Have a great market guys. See you next Saturday!
I really like that picture of Meesha and the sunrise!
